Our History
“Quick Service Holdings is the parent company to International Franchises, Pita Pit and Domino’s Pizza & Wendy’s, as well as the owner of Food Hall, the first grocerant in Trinidad and Tobago. The company’s sole purpose is to acquire and develop international franchises in the Trinidad and Tobago and Caribbean markets.
Pita Pit was first introduced to the Trinidad market in September 2012 by business partners and long-time friends Daniel Fakoory and Omar Hadeed. This was the first time venturing into the food and beverage business for these two who came from backgrounds of real estate and retail. The brand was met with resounding success and in the true entrepreneurial spirit, growth followed. Now with 9 locations and counting, Pita Pit has established itself as the number 1 option for high quality, healthy and delicious meals in a fast casual environment. In June 2017, the duo continued their growth in the quick service sector with the acquisition of Domino’s Pizza, a brand that was underperforming in the market at that time. In short order, the brand was transformed. A complete overhaul of the supply chain, menu, renovation of existing stores and opening of new stores, along with investments in technology, made Domino’s the first pizza company in the country with online ordering capabilities. With 8 stores and counting , Domino’s is firmly on the road to being the number one Pizza brand in Trinidad and Tobago. The growth trend continued with the acquisition of the Wendy’s franchise in April 2022. The development plan for this franchise would see Wendy’s grow from its existing 2 locations to 10 by 2026. The Wendy’s model and menu compliments the QSH portfolio and gives the company a presence in the drive thru market which has been in high demand as a result of the pandemic.
The pandemic and need for essential businesses also gave birth to the Food Hall, which is a hybrid between a grocery and a restaurant, a new category of retail called a grocerant. Food Hall will be a one of a kind, allowing customers to shop for their everyday grocery needs, whilst at the same time providing them with freshly prepared, chef- quality meals at an affordable price. Many improvements were made on the existing grocery model to revolutionize the customer’s experience at Food Hall.”
